The differences are that the jumpdrive/thumbdrive/USB dongle goblin specifically refer to USB flash drives.

“USB stick” still describes a drive using a USB-C. USB-C is just a type of USB, right?? It’s not like it’s USB and USC (implying the existence of an ancestral “USA”)
